Hello ladies and gents! My name is Liz Dombrowski and I’ll be a senior in the upcoming fall 2016 semester. It’s crazy how time has flown by and how much can change with each season; I joined the Style Guru team when I was a sophomore. Looking back, I was still trying to gain my footing in the world of fashion merchandising and discovering my strengths and weaknesses. When I received my acceptance into the Style Guru program, I was preparing for a three week study abroad program in Hong Kong, China. I was a wide eyed nineteen year old with a passion for photography and a love for exploring the world. CollegeFashionista was my first internship and with each semester that I return as a Style Guru, it feels like coming home.
My style has not changed much over the years, I have always love whimsical prints and beautiful skirts. I am a lover of color and having fun with fashion; life is too short to wear neutrals all the time! Bright colors are normally found in my wardrobe (especially this amazing clutch!) and I am never caught without lipstick. As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized how important it is to stay true to who you are. You don’t have to be like everyone else and you shouldn’t feel the need to! I was on my way home from a big presentation when these photos were taken, I felt confident in my bright red lipstick as I spoke about merchandising plans to companies. My go-to presentation outfit is a classic chambray shirt and white skinny jeans, paired with these beautiful platform wedges.
As I approach 21 years old, I’ve been letting go of negative people or people who don’t make me feel special. As I mentioned before, one of my favorite things is to travel the world and explore new places. I’m currently planning a trip to Austin, Texas. I’ve never been to Texas and I’ve been having so much fun researching cool places to visit. Along with traveling, I’ll be interning in New York City.
This summer, I am looking forward to the future people I may meet, the adventures that are yet to come and amazing style of New York City to be seen.
