Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Liz Lepore and I’m going into my junior year at George Washington University, where I’m majoring in Journalism. I can’t believe it, but this is going to be my fifth semester and third year at CollegeFashionista! I’m so excited for fall. Fall fashion is my favorite because while I love the warm weather, there’s nothing better than being able to bring out all of your favorite cozy sweaters from the back of your closet.
In the September Issue (one of my all time favorite fashion documentaries) Candy Pratts Price says “September is the January of fashion,” meaning it’s a time for renewal. This season, I hope to take more fashion risks and to make better use of what’s already in my closet by mixing and matching. There’s something to be said about shopping your closet and finding new, exciting combinations that you wouldn’t have thought of before. It’s easy to get in the habit of wearing your same favorite sweaters, tops and jeans week after week, but it’s nice to change it up from time to time.
Today I’m wearing my favorite (and only) romper, which I’ve found myself reaching for a lot this summer. Rompers are so easy and comfy and I’m looking to get a few more in my rotation. This one is nice because it can easily be dressed up with heels or dressed down with flats. I kept the look simple and chose a pair of Jack Rogers sandals and my favorite wrap bracelet.
