Hi guys! My name is Liz Smith, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a Style Guru this summer! I am currently a student at Gettysburg College, majoring in history with a concentration in teacher certification! Straight and to the point, I want to be a social studies teacher. Growing up, I had always loved fashion and writing and am really excited about this opportunity to combine the two! I also couldn’t be more excited to share all my favorite looks and trends with you guys this summer!
I am always taking pictures for Facebook, Instagram and for fun with my friends. When we’re not doing that we’re watching fashion, beauty and lifestyle videos on YouTube. My current style icons include Lauren Elizabeth and Claudia Sulewski from YouTube, as well as Nina Dobrev and Miley Cyrus circa 2012. I really look up to people who can take risks, but in a subtle and natural way. Honestly, isn’t that everyone’s goal? All natural, but not actually? Just me? Ok. I find that there is inspiration for style, beauty and fashion EVERYWHERE. YouTube is just one outlet, along with Instagram, where you can get inspiration.
Honestly, my style is very simplistic and plain. I love mixing neutrals like black, navy, dark green and gray. Online shopping is my one true weakness, I always find myself searching for new and old products alike to vamp my wardrobe. Recently, I have been super into simplistic jewelry like anklets, bracelets and necklaces. They are my go-to for summer style because I really take my basic outfits for the day and bring them to life at night.
