Hey guys! My name is Logan St. Pierre. I am a junior at the University of Alabama majoring in Fashion Merchandising. My dream career is to work for a fashion magazine as a creative director. I’m excited to begin my experience with CollegeFashionsita this semester.
I was raised in Dothan, Alabama, so my roots are grounded in a small, Southern town. However, there is a big city girl inside of me dying to break out. My mother says my love for fashion started at just two years old. It began with my determination to “style” myself, be it from pink tutus to white cowboy boots (it was the ‘90s, give me a break). I’ve always had an obsession with fashion and have felt that I would work with it in some capacity. It wasn’t until the last couple of years that I felt drawn to the magazine industry.
My favorite hobby is photography. I started taking pictures at a young age with a cheap camera and decided that I really enjoyed it. I loved it so much I saved up for a Canon Rebel XSi and now my obsession is crazier than ever. This also led me to choose my career path because I love to be behind the scenes of the camera and see all that goes into the process of a fashion photo-shoot.
I really like to experiment with my wardrobe and try new things. I find it important to have a few staple pieces and mix-n-match with accessories to create different looks. It just depends on my mood of the day to determine the outfit I’ll wear. Sometimes I like to be edgier with studded combat boots and other times I like to be more of a girly-girl with a simple dress from a local boutique. I might even put the two together depending on how daring I feel. This outfit goes on long the lines of girly-girl with a more casual flare to it. It gives off a bohemian vibe with the tie-dye accents. I also believe no outfit is ever complete without a necklace and a great pair of shoes.
I’m looking forward to this semester and what it has in store for me. CollegeFashionista seems like a great opportunity and a fun adventure. I can’t wait to jump in and get my feet wet!
