For those of you who don’t me, my name is Lori Bowes, and I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana. I’m currently a freshman at Purdue University studying retail management. While I generally am accompanied by cornfields and cold, dreary winters, I love to spice things up in my general attire by wearing things that get my creative juices flowing and make me feel fabulous. Here are some things I love to do: reading, photography, drawing, hanging with my pals, and generally doing anything creative with my time.
I would describe my current style as somewhat relaxed, classic, and comfort. That is a key factor in how I decide my outfits in the morning, as I’m constantly on the go between classes, study groups, clubs, and more. While function and comfort is important, I don’t think you should have to forfeit style, which is exactly what I’ve accomplished in my look today.
Because it’s still pretty chilly in midwestern Indiana, I chose a soft turtleneck to keep me warm, and layered a lace camisole over it to add some pizzazz. The high-wasted jeans are a must and really add a streamlined look to the outfit. Keeping with the slightly more put-together look on top, I paired my black booties with the outfit to give myself some extra height. Lastly, I couldn’t forget a nice wool coat to keep me warm while I’m walking to class.
