Hello, readers! My name is Lyle Lindale and I have just finished my first year at Columbia College Chicago. I am super excited to be doing my first semester with CollegeFashionista!
If you saw me walking down the street, you would probably catch me wearing black, white, gray or maroon. Just like these colors, I like my style to be simple. The tops I wear tend to be a solid color, but I play around with the cuts and fabrics used. My bottoms are usually anything high-waisted, because that suits my body shape. In the end, I always wear something to give me height and elongate my legs. My high-heeled Timberlands or wearing wedges add a little class to my outfit!
My go-to fashion piece is definitely my leather jacket. When I put an outfit together with time and care, the leather jacket ties it together. Or, when I throw stuff together and have no time to put effort in an outfit, I slip on some black leggings (of which I have at least 20 pairs). I add any top, that leather jacket, and it seems to make all my outfits more fashionable than I intended!
I am greatly influenced by model Gigi Hadid, YouTuber Tess Christine and EVERYTHING Scarlett Johansson, all who have immensely different styles, so mine changes every now and then depending on my mood––I find beauty in all styles.
Living downtown, it has allowed me to further my experiences and explore the city while doing while attending school. I attended protests, voted, worked with Adam Bouska for the NOH8 Campaign, went on set of productions, designed and made my own skirt, made it into a top Spanish news article, attended Latino Fashion Week as a VIP and got on WGN and ABC News with my dance team. More than that has happened within less than one year, and I cannot wait to see what more lies ahead so I can incorporate my excitement into my articles on here.
Aside from being interested in fashion, I am a dancer, graphic designer, video editor, photographer, publicist, social media manager and blogger! My work has been recognized by Ariana Grande, Lily Collins, Pia Mia, Sammi Hanratty and other notable people in the entertainment industry.
In the future, I would love to live in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York while I work and keep doing what I love.
