Hi everyone! My name is Maddie Felton, and I am a senior at The University of North Carolina with a major in Psychology and a minor in Information Systems. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista, and I am so excited about this opportunity to share my passion for style with all of you!
Over the years, especially since coming to college, my style has grown, matured and branched-out. It is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I love thrift shopping and finding pieces that you would never guess were secondhand. I love high-end shopping (when I can afford it). I love pulling out an old jean skirt from middle school and re-styling it for a more grown-up look. I love searching sale racks for hidden gems and pairing unlikely combos in a cohesive ensemble.
In this look, I’ve paired a simple white top with flare jeans (one of my favorite trends for fall!). Flares can be paired with a button-up shirt or an oversized sweater when it gets chillier outside. I added an arm cuff, my favorite aviators, and a classic cross-body bag. I think I wear this cuff with almost every outfit. It adds the perfect gold touch that every outfit needs.
As I move into my last year at Carolina, I am excited to be able to showcase not only my personal style, but also the style of my friends and peers. My campus inspires me every day to try out a new trend, bring back a classic or step out of my comfort zone in the name of fashion. I hope this semester, you find it inspires you as well.
