Colder weather minus the snow. Michigan’s bipolar weather has caused the need for layers. Too cold? Add a layer! Too hot? Take it off!
My name is Maddison McEntee and I attend school on the west side of the beautiful state of Michigan. My major is Textile and Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. Over the past year I maintained a retail job at Express along with bar serving on Lake Michigan at the #1 hotspot within South Haven, and recently I have learned how to mix espresso with water at Java Joint Cafe.
Life right now is crazy and I only intend for it to get more exciting. Graduating college is my biggest challenge at the moment and I am motivated to do so and continue to be on graduation track within the upcoming year. I am looking forward to this unbelievable opportunity to become a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.
Fashion is one of the ways we can express ourselves without speaking. Colors, patterns, prints and textures are all the deciding factors in the moods we are in at that particular moment in the morning. Therefore fashion is like mood rings you wore when you were younger. Every color means something. My favorite color would have to be black because of its simplicity and classiness. Deep purple has always turned out to be a color of choice for the bedrooms I have had over the years.
My style is a little bit of everything from preppy professional to casual sport babe. Fresh and simple to sassy and feminine. I never go a day without studs in my ears and I am learning to love heels. Dreaming about big city life is exhausting and amazing at the same time. Keeping up with the latest trends is fun and entertaining. I am extremely excited to share some of Michigan’s West Side trends with you guys!
