Hello gorgeous! My name is Madeline, or Maddle to all the closest homies. I am a freshman at the University of Dayton in Ohio. I’m currently majoring in discover arts and sciences (which is the fanciest way possible to say undecided) and am still exploring all my options and interests for the future! My favorite things in the world (besides shopping) are my family, friends, Netflix marathons and my pit bull Butchie. I am beyond excited to begin my first semester here at CollegeFashtionista and to finally have an excuse to keep expanding my wardrobe. (Sorry mom!).
I was born in a suburb of Chicago and have discovered, since leaving, that I have a very city girl style. That may just be a very nice way of saying everything I own is neutral colored and Free People, but hey, I’ll take it! I love mixing simple, classic pieces with one statement piece, creating an effortlessly chic look. My favorite trick is topping off a feminine top with a weathered motorcycle jacket for some subtle edginess. A quintessentially “me” outfit would be a pair of ripped up jeans (my favorite brand is Hudson Jeans), a cute top, my favorite Marc by Marc Jacobs cross-body bag and loads of LILY and LAURA bracelets. Wear it to class with a cute pair of sneakers like these classics from adidas or take it out with a killer pair of booties. Unfortunately, here in the Midwest you can’t forget your jacket. Spice it up by wearing one with metallic hardware like this one from Topshop.
My closet has become a free-for-all for my girlfriends here at school. At least once a day I’ll get a text saying “Maddle can I borrow your (insert clothing item here) please!” I love sharing all my clothes and style advice with them and cannot wait to open up my closet to all of you!
