Hey Fashionistas! My name is Madison Schott, and this is going to be my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I am a sophomore at Seton Hall University studying mathematical finance and marketing— I know, complete opposites, right?
This semester, I plan on working at a social media firm in New York City. As an intern commuting from New Jersey to the Big Apple, I will constantly be on the go, transitioning from a college student to a Fashionista and looking to conquer the world one job at a time.
I hope to showcase the professional yet stylish looks of students who are constantly working in the city that never sleeps. As I grow professionally this spring (with my first in-office internship), so will the looks that I feature in my posts. Blazers, button-ups, pencil skirts: you will be seeing business casual at its finest. I will also share with you outfits that can be transitioned from day to night, a must-have for every girl on the move.
Whether I am writing at a local coffee shop, out to dinner with my girls (I’m a huge foodie!) or wondering through an art gallery, I like to maintain a sophisticated yet fun and trendy look. You can see here that I paired a simple white button-up with a skinny scarf, my current favorite trend. I can never leave my dorm without my watch, which is the final touch for every professional. We are only young once, so dress like it while you can! Us students can pull off quirky pieces like these while still looking put together.
When you aren’t strutting your style on campus, keep an eye out for my posts! Until then, be sure to check out my up-and-coming blog.
