Hi there! My name is Maggie Moynihan and I am a sophomore at Indiana University. I am studying apparel merchandising and business marketing, pursuing my dream of working in the fashion industry. I’ve loved fashion for many years, but I have truly grown to appreciate and endear fashion as I’ve matured. It is an honor to be a Style Guru and I am thrilled to be given this great opportunity to contribute to CollegeFashionista.
Fashion has been a passion of mine throughout my life. For as long as I can remember, I have been infatuated by fashion publications and blogs, which have contributed to my personal style and aesthetic. That being said, it has encouraged me to explore this opportunity as a Style Guru in hopes of developing these essential social media and branding skills.
I would describe my personal style as feminine and chic. I draw style inspiration from the iconic Coco Chanel. Coco Chanel gave us elegance, eternal silhouettes, and components that have outlived the notions of fashion. Like Chanel, I favor classic blacks, beiges, and whites.
For this look, I took a beige bodysuit and stepped into a pair of distressed blue jeans, layering it with a drape-front vegan leather jacket. To create some contrast within the beige color scheme, I added my go-to black leather purse, which can also be converted into a clutch (how awesome is that!). For the final touch, I complimented my outfit by pairing it with my suede pointed-toe booties.
