Hey there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Maggie West and I am a rising sophomore at Marist College. As a fashion merchandising major, I have a passion for spotting the latest trends. I am so excited to write about these exciting fashion finds as a Style Guru this summer!
I have always had a huge interest in fashion, but only recently began to grow into my own style. Before Marist, I attended a high school that required wearing a uniform every day. Although I will never knock a good plaid skirt, I found myself a little overwhelmed with fashion choices when I had the chance to step out of the comfort of the kilt. Surrounded by tons of inspiration, I found myself trying out styles I had never thought of before.
Over the years, my fashion sense has transitioned from comfortable and cute to preppy and pink, and just about everything in between. Recently, I have found myself being drawn to more bohemian looks. Though I still love adding pops of pink to just about every outfit, I’ve been enjoying finding new trends to rock.
Though I’m lucky to say that my closet consists of an array of different styles and trends, I have a few staples that I just can’t live without—a good pair of blue jeans, a flowy blouse and a delicate initial “M” necklace. I am a firm believer that one can’t go wrong with this simple outfit choice and on most days that is exactly what you will find me in.
