Tom Ford once said “Dressing well is a form of good manners.” and I was raised well. I pretty much overdress to any event I go to, because you will never know who you will run into! My name is Maja, and I am an Accounting major at Quinnipiac University…yes, Accounting. However, I have a strong love for fashion, and one of my goals is to combine the passion for style and the skill of accounting.
I live in Connecticut, and want to prove to the world that besides preppy country club attire we do have some Fashionistas/os in this state.
This is my first time interning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am excited to work for such a big platform, and express my love for all things fashion! Currently I have my own lifestyle/fashion blog, With Love, Maja. At first it was just an outlet to put out my thoughts, but this summer I am planning to take it a step further.
I was born and raised in Poland, and even today living in America I am drawn to the European trends. The simplicity of the European style always caught my eye, but the small, personal tweaks in everyone’s outfits made me fall in love.
I constantly get inspired by the people I see, I like to mix and match basics and things that usually don’t go together. I have an artistic soul but usually stay in the safe zone with blacks, whites and grays. Let’s be honest, there will never be a “new black”.
I am also very interested in the history of fashion. The fact that Audrey Hepburn started the careers of designer’s like Hubert de Givenchy in the ’50s inspires me. He found the perfect muse, worked extremely hard everyday for years and created a multimillion dollar brand, doing what he loves. In these photos, I am wearing a top by One Clothing, jeans by H&M, a button-up shirt by Old Navy, white Keds and a bag by Louis Vuitton.
I am so excited to get this summer started to showcase my love for fashion, develop skills in this field and learn from all of you fellow Fashionistas/os!
