Hello there, my fellow fashion lovers! My name is Mallery, but you can call me Mal. I am a senior Fashion Merchandising student at Kent State University minoring in Marketing. I believe that fashion is one of the most important ways to express yourself and show who you really are. I also believe you can show different sides of your self. Who says you can’t be edgy one day and classic the next? For me, I know this is true. One day I might feel soft spoken or one day I might be feeling loud, and my outfits definitely portray that. I once was afraid to show who I really am and now I have no problem letting my wardrobe express myself. Once I began my adventure in Fashion Merchandising, I finally felt like it was okay to be myself and let my clothes do the talking.
With that said, my style can vary. I love classic looks with a twist. The color that takes over my closet the most is black. There isn’t another color that makes me feel more fierce, chic and beautiful. If you catch me on the street, I’ll most likely be wearing something comfortable yet stylish and if you see me out on the town at night, I’ll most likely be wearing heels.
The outfit I chose for my STYLE GURU BIO was one that I feel most myself in. I absolutely love this look because I feel casual yet dressed for the day ahead. I think this is a great outfit for the beginning of fall to wear to class or even lunching with friends. Since it’s the beginning of the school year, it can be chilly in the morning and end up scorching hot by the end of the day and adding a denim jacket to this tunic dress means that I can adjust to the temperature.
Overall, I’m so excited to be a Style Guru this fall semester! I can’t wait to show everyone my style and my eye for detail!
