Ciao Fashionistas/os! My name is Maria Borda and I am currently a junior marketing major at Saint Joseph’s University. I’m super excited to be interning for CollegeFashionista this semester! I’m thrilled that I have the opportunity to experience a new side of the fashion world. Being a Style Guru will give me the chance to express my style to trendsetters everywhere!
My mom greatly influenced my style growing up. She taught me how to express myself wearing earthy tones, cheetah prints and rare findings from any store we came across. She taught me that it was okay to be daring with my style and to set myself apart from the bunch. It is fitting to say that “Less is more” is the motto I try to live by when it comes to my style. If I had to describe my look, I would say it is casual Bohemian with unique accessories that catch the eye. I appreciate the newest trends and try to incorporate them into my outfits, while keeping the same feel throughout my attire on a daily basis.
In the pictures above, I’m wearing my favorite Madden Girl gladiators and a Forever 21 cream colored, Grecian like dress, which together creates a relaxed feel. I added brown sunglasses with a scroll design on the sides and a crochet style cross-body bag, to add fun, different textures to the outfit. I then finished the look with two of my favorite statement pieces: a wooden ring with a pearly white embellishment and a silver, wavy bracelet with an asymmetrical design.
