Hey, everyone! My name is Marianna Pinto and this is my first as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I moved from a small town in South Florida to New York City to follow my dreams at LIM College. As of now, I’m a junior, majoring in Visual Merchandising with a concentration in Event Planning. I chose this field of study because I love the flexibility and diversity within the art community!
I’m a South Florida Native that was born into a family of crazy, creative Brazilians! I was always traveling the world and discovering new cultures and I believe that’s where my passion for fashion came from different people that express their style through clothing.
As for my style, I don’t have a clear personal style. My style is very eclectic yet simple. But, most of the time I have at least one piece of activewear on just because I love the comfort and flexibility of the clothing. I am a big fan of all-black attire, yet I do like adding a pop of color by wearing a bright color sports bra or top, even wearing a strong statement sneaker to enhance my look. In the look above, I paired my favorite Derek Lam activewear jacket with the Derek Lam-Athleta crop top for running few errands around Manhattan. As for my bottoms, I chose one of my favorite adidas leggings for a little more comfort as I run around the city. To top it all of, I chose my Nike Running Air sneakers as well as my i-watch.
