Hi everyone! I’m Marissa, and this is my first summer as a Style Guru. I am beyond excited to share my love for all things fashion with all of you. I’m a 20-year-old from Honolulu, Hawai’i that has moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for college. Aside from school, I love baking, watching crime shows, online shopping and traveling. This past year, I’ve enjoyed adventuring in Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and San Francisco. While I love to explore, I am a fanatic for fashion.
My love for clothes began a few years ago when I ditched my high school uniform for my first pair of Zara jeans. This started a full-blown love affair with fashion. Since then, my closet has grown and it seems as if it has taken on a life of its own. This summer, I’m going to take you all on a fashionable journey. I can’t wait to share my love of fashion with all of you, while also discovering new, magnificent styles.
To set the tone for my future posts, I want to give a little sneak peak into my current summer closet. I’ve snapped a few photos of some of my favorite pieces such as a chambray button-down, my personalized name necklace and a pair of Kelsi Dagger leather booties. This look has definitely helped me stay comfortable without looking overly casual because of the crisp collar and leather booties.
