Hey everyone! My name is Mary Katherine Kline, and I’m a freshman at the University of Mississippi majoring in integrated marketing communications. This is my first time interning with CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be more excited!
There is no specific way to describe my personal style because it constantly changes depending on my mood, my schedule, and the weather, of course! I could go for a simple, edgy look one day and a frilly, girly look the next. Rather than choosing one specific style, I find that creating a new outfit each day is more fun and fitting for my personality and also works best with my ever-changing schedule.
However, I love to combine simple pieces to make a loud statement and use classic styles to incorporate with the latest trends. I tend to gravitate towards black, white, and gray pieces with the exception of classic seasonal colors like maroon, hunter green, and tan for the fall.
For this look, I paired a classic black bodysuit with high-waisted skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots. The real fun comes in when I added a fun, fur coat and a statement Hermes belt. For more accessories, I threw on my go-to Louis Vuitton cross-body bag, my oversized shades, and a maroon bandana to use as a statement necklace.
I love this look because it totally shows my classic style by sticking with neutral colors and staple pieces while adding a unique twist with the trendy belt and a bandana for a necklace.
