Hello Fashionstas/os! My name is Mckennah Lucadano, I am a student at Lee University majoring in digital media. As we all know, fashion is a form of self expression. Styling outfits is one of my favorite things to do. It is so fun for me to take simple pieces and spice them up with different accessories! Being in college has given me the opportunity to really discover who I am as a person and also experiment with fashion. The transition from high school to college was revolutionary in giving me the freedom to explore my passion for fashion. Growing up in a small town the fashion sense consisted of keeping it simple. In my high school, it was seen as weird or unusual to express yourself in anything out of the ordinary. I would tend to keep my outfits pretty casual in order to not stand out, which kept me from truly expressing myself. When I began college, I realized that no one cares what you are wearing and that I shouldn’t waste my time caring what people think. There are such a variety of different styles. Whether you feel like you want to dress to impress, keep it casual or even come in your pajamas, no one cares!
As for my personal style, I would describe it as all over the place. One day its bohemian, the next its, sophisticated and the next day it may be preppy. I love that there are so many different styles out there! It’s always fun for me to express myself differently everyday. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself wearing whatever I love. As Carly Cushne and Michelle Ochs said, “Life is too short to wear boring clothes.” I am beyond excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionsta team and report on #RAD college fashion this semester!
