Hey y’all! I’m McKenzie Gutierrez and I’m going into my third year at California State University of San Bernardino. I am a communications major with a concentration in media studies. Besides being a full time student, I am a professional dancer, a stylist at a local boutique and now, to add to that list, I’m going into my second semester as Style Guru intern for this spring.
I am constantly on the go taking on one adventure at a time. I love trying new things and finding new and fun ways to challenge myself. You can find me blowing my paychecks at the mall, sipping on coffee during all hours of the day, escaping reality at Disneyland or going on any sort of adventure with my sister. I’d like to consider myself to fall under the “gypsy soul” category. I march to the beat of my own drum and I go wherever the music leads me.
Time is always ticking and everything is constantly changing just like fashion. With that being said, I’m always on my toes when it comes to my style. I am constantly switching things up and finding new ways to incorporate new trends into my wardrobe. I love statement pieces that make me stand out from the ordinary, but that may just be the aries in me talking.
Life is too short to wear boring clothes. I like to be a free spirit similar to my favorite wine suede fringe jacket. Black and white are my favorite colors. I practically live in my black jeans. My go-to tip if I’m not feeling an outfit is to add a hat. Any type of hat can spice up an outfit in my eyes.
I cannot wait to not only share my style with everyone this spring, but also share all of the fun findings around my diverse campus in San Bernardino.
