Hello Fashionistas/os!
I’m Megan, an aspiring journalist currently coveting giant sunglasses, chunky heels and anything gingham. My experience with fashion includes replying to frequently received texts from friends and relatives asking for advice on the latest trends (because they are all aware of my magazine subscription addiction). When I return to Iowa State University in the fall for round two, I will be studying Fashion Merchandising on top of Journalism in order to expand my fashion knowledge.
At Iowa State, I report for the style section in the Iowa State Daily. I am also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and am looking forward to living in the house, where my closet will expand to at least 57 times as big as it was before.
My style, like me, has its moods. Luckily my closet is large enough for my biker jacket and peacoat. There’s a special place in my heart for my distressed shorts and pencil skirts. My summer wardrobe consists of Lilly Pulitzer shorts, Triangl bikinis and cognac platform heels.
I’m an espresso, Netflix and online shopping addict who loves my yellow labrador more than most people. My favorite places to shop are Sephora, J.Crew, PacSun and LOFT, just to name a few.
As a social media junkie, my dream job is to manage social media platforms for a fashion magazine or write for a style section; I love interpreting and evaluating fashion. I want to work in an environment where fashion means as much to the people around me as it does to me.
