STYLE GURU BIO: Megan Teasdale

What’s up, fellow Fashionistas/os? I’m Megan and I’m currently a Junior at Drexel University studying design and merchandising with a concentration in fashion promotion and special Events. Going to school right next to Center City, Philadelphia has opened me up to opportunities I never imagined I would be doing. Although I always knew the cheesesteaks and pretzels were to die for in Philly, I never really thought I’d be living in a city with so much creativity at every corner. From being able to walk around Old City as often as I want to being surrounded by the rad people in my major, inspiration is literally surrounding me at all times.

As of right now, I’m working a co-op at Alison Brod Public Relations on Park Avenue in New York City. I love my job to death but it’s a constant struggle to put myself together every morning and walk into the fantastically gorgeous office. From hectic school schedules and now making sure I catch the subway to work at a decent time, I’ve come up with a schedule that actually allows me to put myself together with some extra time to pick up Starbucks. Taking a first glance into my closet, one would immediately notice how much black I own. I can’t help it, it’s my favorite, but I also love to play around with it. On a regular day, one would most likely catch me wearing my black high-waisted skinny jeans, a cropped cotton top, a jean jacket and some classic Vans. I’d like to say I have a certain style, but honestly I’ll see someone random walking on the street and get envious of how cool they look, then I get completely inspired by them. My style is always changing, but the color black is probably the one thing that remains constant in my wardrobe.

I think that is the most fun thing about fashion and why I’m so in love with it. I’m able to embody so many different styles just by the certain things I put on. One day I’m wearing my vintage T-shirt and feeling super grunge, but then the next day you can catch me in a bohemian off-the-shoulder top. There are literally so many incredible things out there, why pick just one?
