Hi there fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos!
I am so excited to be returning for a second semester with CollegeFashonista. If you didn’t catch any of my articles last semester, my name is Meghan and I am a sophomore at DePaul University in the lovely city of Chicago. I am currently studying Public Relations and Advertising but I hope to combine my passions for social media, fashion and photography into my career. In my free time, I drink a lot of tea and stay up to date with pop culture!
To tell you a little bit more about me when it comes to fashion and style, one word can sum it up: obsessed. Though I can’t afford all of the luxurious brands I wish I could, I use fashion to express how I’m feeling and to have fun! I’m a huge fan of simplicity. I’ve always believed less is more. Dovetailing off of that, Kate Middleton and Olivia Palermo are my fashion icons for their mix of affordable and high-end brands. Despite trends, style is so personal and it takes awhile to develop. In fact, my own style and fashion choices change every few months or so. However, right now, I love circle skirts like this one, simple necklaces and chunky knit sweater wraps!
Since I am so fortunate to be returning, I am really looking forward to bringing you all some articles featuring winter style. Fashion during the winter months in Chicago is tough because of the harsh winds and bitter cold, but local Fashionistas rough it out and stay on-trend despite this. There is something admirable about looking good in negative degree weather.
