Hello fashion goers! My name is Melany and I am so incredibly excited for my second season as a Style Guru. I’ll be a fourth year student at Rutgers University majoring in Communications and Public Relations. Â Ever since I could remember fashion has always been a part of my life. From dressing up as a little girl, to figuring out ways to spunk up my uniform throughout my elementary and middle school years. Â I now take every day as a chance to be whoever I want to be. Â My mood depicts many of my outfits. I can be dressed head to toe in pink one day, and the next rock an all-black outfit. My style is super versatile and varies according to the weather, time of day, and event.
My featured outfit is a very laid back but fun look. Â Summer time calls for errand running and completing projects left and right. It’s so important for me to be comfortable throughout the day while at the same time keeping a semi-dressy vibe. One of my favorite trends is pairing a cool pair of sneakers with a skirt or dress. Â Here I’m wearing my absolute favorite pair of tennis shoes, which then I pair with a slim fitting skirt making the perfect combination of laid back but still very chic. The ultimate staple to finish any outfit is a killer jacket. I usually go with a leather one or a bomber, both are super trendy and comfortable.
