Well, like most people, there is a lot to say about me and like most people, I find it somewhat hard to describe what exactly that all is. So I’ll start by using these photos as my guide.
The first thing about this picture is that it was taken in the Design District of Miami, Florida. I was just here this week and I really enjoyed it because a) the mass amounts of designer stores (duh) b) traveling and going anywhere new is something I love to do and long to do for the rest of my life. I’ll throw a c) in there too…warm weather!
As a Baltimore, Maryland native who moved to Ohio to study Fashion Merchandising at Kent State University, I’ve decided that I’m going to spend the rest of my life in the fashion industry. As of right now, I’m not quite sure where exactly that is going to lead me. I have a very go with the flow attitude and I know that no matter what I end up doing, I’ll be happy with it. I love the business side of things and dealing with logistics, but I also love being creative, styling and making things visually appealing. So basically, I love all parts of the fashion industry.
I personally fell in love with fashion because a person can change their whole persona with just the switch of some clothes. I can make myself whoever I want to be any day of the week and change it drastically from day to day. In addition, finding the right outfit for the appropriate setting is something that is very appealing to me. Creating the perfect image of one’s self for the perfect event is just so satisfying.
I am so thrilled to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this summer. I always love to scout the streets for a great outfit everywhere I go and now I get to put this skill to use. Scouting strangers with great fashion sense is a wonderful opportunity to meet people with common fashion interests and really put fashion into action. I’m also excited to learn so much from this. Writing articles, meeting new people, spotting trends and classifying outfits are all pretty novel activities for me, so I can’t wait to build upon these skills.
I hope you all enjoy seeing what I have to post this summer and I’m always up for questions or a chat!
