Hello my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Mia Campolo and I am a freshman at Cornell University. I am majoring in Apparel Design and looking to double minor in Business and Fashion Management. This will be my first semester as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru and I can’t wait to share the frigid fashion of upstate New York with you all.
Many people believe that cold weather is an excuse to trudge to class in sweatshirts and leggings, but I want to take this internship as an opportunity to show off all of the amazing style I see on campus everyday.
My personal wardrobe consists of mostly neutrals (my favorite color is gray), layering, bracelets for days, shoes of all kinds and sunglasses. Lots of sunglasses. I’m only five feet tall, so you will often find me in booties or something else with some height. Overall, I would say my style would be labeled as metropolitan. I’ve lived my whole life just outside of Chicago (Go Blackhawks!) and love being so close to the city. Nothing beats driving up Lake Shore Drive and running into The Drake Hotel and Oak Street Beach. While it’s no Big Apple, I still hold our Midwest city close to my heart since it brings me three of my favorite things: the Magnificent Mile, Lollapalooza and Tastes of Chicago. So yes, I’m quite basic. I love shopping, music festivals and good food. But who doesn’t?
I can’t wait to share all of the hidden style gems I find at Cornell, and I hope you keep logging onto CollegeFashionista to see what I discover!
