Hi Fashionistas/os, my name is Michaela Breaux and this is my first year at CollegeFashionista. I’m super excited! I’m a senior at Oregon State University with majors in apparel design and new media communications and minors in writing and business.
I’m originally from South Florida, but I’ve been everywhere. This past summer, I had two internships in Paris, France and I was lucky enough to call the city of lights my home for five months. It was absolutely incredible. I’m still recovering from the food coma Europe put me in, to be honest. Anyways, my second internship in Paris included working Paris Fashion Week for a fashion consultant who advises top editors on what shows to attend for Paris, Milan, and London fashion weeks. It was a dream and the experience of a lifetime to say the very least.
Upon graduating from Oregon State University, I plan on moving to New York City where I can begin my career. Ideally, I would like to write for a fashion magazine or work as a stylist. I love traveling. For me, there’s nothing better than the feeling you get when that plane takes off on a new adventure. In a perfect world, I would combine my loves for exploring and fashion to create the dream job.
When it comes to style, mine is very simple. I love a classic, timeless look with a slight twist and that’s what I channeled here. I threw on a tight-knit tan sweater with my favorite pair of ’70s flared jeans (yes, flare is back!), a pair of black pumps, and a leather jacket. As for jewellery, I have two signature gold necklaces that I never take off. There’s something about a signature piece of jewellery that I just love.
Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to connect with all of you wonderful trendsetters.
