Hi everyone! My name is Michelle Keswani, and I am a junior at the University of South Florida with a major in public relations and a minor in marketing. This is my first semester as a Style Guru intern for CollegeFashionista, and I am so excited to see what’s in store for me over these next few months! I was born into an Indian family living in Nigeria and moved to Florida to go to high school and now college. As I grew up, I was also able to travel a lot and see new places all the time which helped mold me into the person I am today. Clothing, travel, shoes, accessories, social media and good food—all things I live for.
Shopping has been something I have been passionate for since I was young. Trying new clothes and styles have always peaked my interest. I tend to stick to black, white and gray with the occasional patterns or some color pop with a bag or jewelry. With this outfit, I picked something simple yet fun. I chose to pair ripped boyfriend jeans from Akira, a basic, black body suit from American Apparel with black Tory Burch millers. The sunglasses are classic aviators by Ray-Ban. The studded ring is from Henri Bendel, and the classic tote is from Yves Saint Laurent. All are some of my favorite pieces put together in one outfit.
I am a huge social media addict, posting everything that goes on in my life from traveling with family and friends to playing with my dog on the couch. I primarily use Instagram for inspiration for new styles and trends as well as to see the occasionally funny meme of the day.
