Hi, My name is Michelle Lu and I will be a junior this year at Pepperdine University. I recently came back from studying abroad in China and finished a Public Relations internship in Downtown Los Angeles. I am excited to start school again because I get to live with my friends in an apartment and am able to live by the ocean again in Malibu.
I feel that my style has evolved since my spring semester of being a Style Guru. The fashion in Asia has given me new ideas for ways to coordinate outfits and I can’t wait to share them with you. From traveling to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Shanghai, each country has a different aesthetic from the other. I feel more confident in what I choose to wear such as Lily Pulitzer prints and bright colors.
For my outfit, I wore a floral crop top, drawstring shorts from Articles of Society, and Rainbow flip flops. I also paired it with a Marc by Marc Jacobs rose gold watch. I wore a crop top since it has been hot in California lately, and shorts for the summer days. Flip flops are convenient to walk around campus. I wanted to add some jewelry to my wardrobe, so I wore a watch to keep track of time in between classes.
Through my articles, I hope that I can bring some California sunshine into your wardrobe this fall. It’s hard to define my style, but I choose what to wear based on my emotions.
