Hello dear friends, and thank you for stumbling upon my bio. Since most of you don’t know who I am, this should be rather informative, and to my mom, sorry if this sounds repetitive. Anyway, I’m currently an international business student, which means that there is little room for fashion in my life at school. So, I decided that between accounting and language studies, why not creep the best dressed students on campus as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru?
I also currently run my own blog where I talk about my pathetic love life, my latest fashion obsessions, and other social commentary. I aspire to live in New York one day, and work for a company like CNN or build a cookie cutting empire like Martha Stewart.
For now, though, I live in Toronto, and in the winter the city often leaves me feeling more like an icicle than a Fashionista. Thankfully, I’ve thought of ways to stay fashionable even in the cold weather, and I can’t wait to share these tips with you.
I frequently take inspiration from the over the top Russian women in my life, and this influence is clear in my first look. The leopard coat has become a fashion girl’s staple in the last few months and I think it’s actually rather timeless, so I purchased this faux fur jacket, and I find that it brings out the best in any outfit; maybe leopard is a neutral? I also added a ruffle top, which is very La Belle Époque, and induces an effortless French vibe. I topped off the ensemble with a pair of black boots, which are both stylish and perfect for slippery and snowy days.
I guess it’s clear that the days of tacky leopard print are behind us, and that Samantha Jones’ favorite pattern is actually quite fabulous.
Keep an eye out for my posts over the semester. I hope that they’ll be able to inspire you, and most importantly, make you smile.
