Spotted: Molly back at it again with the party pony.
That’s right all you Fashionista/os – look who’s back, back again (me!) and I’m so excited to be back as part of CollegeFashionista’s summer Style Guru gang!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Molly Hovden. I’m a member of Alpha Chi Omega and a Journalism and Mass Communications major here at the University of Iowa. I’m thrilled to be with CollegeFashionista for a second time around, because they let me enjoy my two favorite hobbies: writing and playing dress up!
I consider fashion to be one of the best outlets to express yourself in. And what’s the greatest part about it? It’s always evolving! Since writing for CollegeFashionista, my style has become more bohemian and I have started adding a little more edge to my outfits; whether that be with choker necklaces or ankle bracelets—I love accessorizing!
Although my style may change, I will always swear by one tried-and-true look: comfortable. Anything that is cotton or flowy is my jam, but just because you dress for comfort doesn’t mean you have to lose style points! In fact, one of the comfiest yet cutest outfits you can wear are dresses.
I absolutely love the lace cami dress from Forever 21 I’m sporting in this look. Dresses are one of my go-to summer pieces. Think about it—you don’t have to worry about matching a top to a bottom and they can help you stay cool on those hot days! I added some flair to the look with layered necklaces, rings and stacked bracelets; and I finished off the look with an ankle bracelet and strappy Blowfish sandals—which also keep my look on the free-spirited side!
