Hi fellow Fashionistas and shopaholics! My name is Morgan Gurican and I am a sophomore marketing major and mass media minor at Illinois State University. My ultimate goal (or you could say dream job) is to one day work for a corporate retailer in the marketing, PR or event planning setting! Whenever I’m not maxing out my card online shopping, you can catch me stuffing my face with pizza while watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, hanging out with my sorority sisters or in the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru any day during happy hour between 2-4 p.m.
My love for fashion started at a very young age. My mom made the mistake of giving me money every now and then to go to the mall with my friends which has now turned into a weekly thing. This has ultimately led me to an overstocked closet and an overdrawn bank account but it’s very safe to say it keeps me sane. They do say that retail therapy is cheaper than a therapist, and I fully support that theory.
I’m all about finding good deals and I did just that by snagging this look from Forever 21 without having to freak out over the obnoxious amount of money I spent. The dress is perfect for any summer occasion, giving you the ability to dress it up with some heels or wedges or down with a pair of gladiator sandals. It would also look cute layered with a sweater or cardigan for the upcoming fall season. I paired it with my favorite pair of nude strappy heels from Charlotte Russe and a long necklace.
I’m ecstatic to be a writer for CollegeFashionista this semester and to share my love for fashion and blogging with you all! Keep your eyes out for more posts in the near future!
