Hello everyone! My name is Naiya Kapadia and I am a fashion merchandising student at Kent State University. It is an honor to be a Style Guru and I am ecstatic to have such a wonderful opportunity to write for CollegeFashionista. My interest in fashion started when I was a very young girl, and to this day I am very passionate about expressing myself through my clothes.
Many tend to think that individuals need to establish a certain style for themselves and cannot stray away from that. Fashion trends are always coming and going, so people should feel free to let their styles evolve over time. No one should feel constrained to stick to one type of style. My style will change day-to-day depending on my mood and the occasion I am dressing for. Some days I may be feeling a bit more artsy than usual and reach for something bohemian with many exotic patterns and textures while other days I would rather stick to a classic style to keep my appearance looking clean and elegant.
Summer days can be hot and humid making it challenging to put together outfits that will not have you drenched in sweat by the end of the day. For this easy summer look, I paired this lightweight, sleeveless button-down with white denim to keep the outfit looking effortless, yet put together for any day this sweltering summer season. I finished the look off with a pair of brown lace-up heels to add some darker neutrals to the outfit.
Along with fashion, photography and makeup have always been a passion of mine. Being given the opportunity to combine my passions and write for CollegeFashionista is absolutely incredible.
