Nancy Segoviano here, your one and only source into the raddest lives of Fashionistas’ wardrobes. This is my first semester interning at CollegeFashionista and I cannot wait to share part of my life with you guys!
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I am now a second year student at UCLA studying communications with the hope of pursuing a career in either broadcasting or fashion journalism. My life dream is to work at Vogue and be able to travel to the four main fashion cities: New York, Paris, Milan, and London to cover fashion week.
I like to spend the majority of my time on social media, blogs, and YouTube, and I enjoy creating fun and aesthetic content for all my followers. I love making YouTube videos above all and when I’m not working, I am usually sitting on my couch sipping some coffee and watching re-runs of One Tree Hill on Netflix… What a life.
Fashion… I love it more than I could ever love anything. My personal style is ever-changing. One day I can walk the streets in an effortless and minimal style catered to shades of black, gray, white and nude with maybe some silver accents, and the next day you can find me walking in a glamorous fur coat and a sequined dress. The colors I do tend to optimize in my wardrobe are mauve pink, rose gold, blush pink—anything pink, really. I fell in love with pink even before Elle Woods fabulously rocked it in Legally Blonde back in 2001. I appreciate simplicity but I also appreciate a little glam in the wardrobe. I like to take Coco Chanel’s advice wholeheartedly, “You live but once: You might as well be amusing.” Of course, one thing that doesn’t ever alter about my style is the floppy wool hat. It is the utmost, go-to staple to my style.
I wanted to create an outfit that was sort of laid back, yet chic… you know, just a casual day in the city, nonetheless, fashionable. For this particular look, I am wearing a short, long sleeve denim dress. Let me just give a quick pointer, you can get really creative with denim and wear it in multiple ways. For this outfit I layered the denim dress with a high-low vest in the color nude. This layering piece has been dominant in my wardrobe because you can literally wear it over anything and it’ll put the whole outfit together. Plus, it’s super flowy and the fabric is incredibly soft. For my shoes I am wearing these heels from Aldo in the color “bone”. They have really cute diamond details on the straps and are really elegant. Not my most comfortable shoes, but definitely a fab touch to this outfit. Lastly, I am wearing a floppy black hat.
Well ladies and gentlemen, now that you know more deets about me, I hope you come around more often.
