Wow, well I guess here’s my first attempt at blogging my knowledge about fashion for CollegeFashionista! But actually I’m beyond ecstatic to be able to be a Style Guru this semester! By the way, hi I’m Natalie! I’m very easily amused and maybe a little bit too outgoing at times. I attend and play soccer at University of Massachusetts Amherst, which is a very big transition seeing as though I grew up living in Northern Virginia. UMass or as some people know it “The Zoo” has been treating me very well I must say. Although I may not be wicked hip to the North yet, I’m still getting use to it (correct word use of wicked?). Did I mention I’m heavy on sarcasm and have super bad jokes? Luckily I’ll try to stick to fashion based articles strictly. Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that from Virginia to Massachusetts I’ve learned that everyone has their own unique style.
Fashion is just one of the many ways I’m able to express myself but without a doubt my favorite one. After stalking fashion bloggers online for the past couple years, I’ve finally decided that it would only make sense to give it a shot myself. I’m most thrilled that the internship takes place in both fall and winter because those are without a doubt my two favorite seasons to dress for. I wouldn’t be able to describe my style because it’s constantly changing everyday. One day rocking a dark look with a pair of Dr. Martens, a leather coat and a band T-shirt to the next day falling under the bohemian style being covered head to toe with exotic patterns. Sometimes, I’ll even mix the two together. Very boho-grunge of me!
This look includes a turtleneck (not to mention my favorite one because of the versatility of the piece) with this lovely leather coat. Both of the pieces, in my opinion, are upcoming fall/winter essentials. I added the lace-up heels making it a little more fun and to make the outfit perfect for going out in. You could always switch them out to some black booties or even a pair of Birkenstocks to keep it casual.
I’ll have my camera on me ready to capture all the best fashion this semester up in Massachusetts so stay tuned and cheers!
