Hi! My name is Natasha Colvin and I am an incoming sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is my second semester as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru, as I just completed my first semester as a Style Guru this past summer. My passions involve all things fashion and style, fitness, health and beauty. I also have grown to love to write, and am planning on applying to the journalism school this fall/winter semester.
Fashion is a huge part of my life, and hopefully it will continue to be throughout the undetermined career ahead of me. My life-long dream has been to become the editor of a world-renowned fashion magazine. We’ll see how that works out, but hard work pays off, right?! I feel it is extremely important to create your own personal expression while individualizing yourself from those around you. That being said, I love to experiment with the latest trends, but instead of adapting to them, I try to exhibit my own interpretations.
My look pictured above is a classic and one of my favorites of this past summer. I paired a simple yet modern culotte pant with a summery floral silk tank and accessorized with a pair of tortoise shell sunnies. What I love about this outfit is its balance of effortlessness and playfulness.
I think that Madison, Wisconsin is one of the greatest college towns in the US, as it is composed of a variety of characters who showcase all different trends and styles. Therefore, I am excited to share with you the amazing individuals that I am exposed to every day at my university.
