Hello Fashionistas/os of the world! I am Neftaliz Rodriguez, and I am 19 years old. I go to the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. This is my first time actually doing something like this, so this is a good way to challenge myself. The reason I chose to do this was because I have had one thing that was always constant in my life and that was fashion. I remember when I was little, I would actually carry a little notebook around with me that I would doodle in.
Every doodle was of clothing that always seemed to have butterfly patterns. My mom still laughs about it to this day. It was actually Coco Chanel who had inspired me to make my very own little black dress. It was because of her that my love for clothing really started to take off. I do not really have a specific style type.
My style is anything that calls out to me because I know when I go shopping, there are clothes that I feel like just call my name, and that is what I go with. Although I have been giving into that instinct lately, I could tell when I had to pack my bags to come back from college. That one of the biggest challenges of my life! I do not mind, though, because clothes allow me to express my feelings and my loves. What I did notice is that I tend to buy clothes in black because black goes with everything.
You can’t go wrong with black because it goes with everything, and you can easily spice it up with color or keep it classy. Fashion has always been my outlet, and a way to ground myself when everything around me feels like it is unstable.
