Hello fellow Fashionistas. My name is Neha Yusuf and this is my first semester as a Style Guru! I am a junior at Kent State University, double majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. I chose Kent because it is one of the top fashion schools in the country and the world. Studying at Kent State has allowed me to have amazing experiences. For example, I spent my last semester in New York City where I was given the chance to intern and network with amazing people. This semester, I am abroad in Florence where I will be learning about European business practices and traveling lots. I am excited be spending my first semester as a Style Guru searching for the latest european fashion trends and Fashionistas.
I have always loved fashion and as my environment changes, so does my style. I believe a good wardrobe is an investment and as a result I am always looking for timeless pieces. I am also a lover of fast fashion and am always looking for the latest trends and fashion inspiration. The brands that inspire me most are Dior, AllSaints, Theyskens’ Theory and Diane von Furstenberg. My current favorite trends are Maxi/Midi Skirts, High-Waisted anything and boyfriend jeans.
I would describe my style as boho-inspired but with an edgy twist. My style is very inspired by my environment so it is always changing. My time in Florence and other European countries this semester will be be influencing my style a lot. I am very excited to share new fashion discoveries and european trends with all of you!
