I hope this past year was as enjoyable for you as it was for me. I had a blast interning for CollegeFashionista for the first time in the spring of 2014, followed by a short hiatus for one of the best and busiest summers yet. My time off continued with a semester abroad in Berlin, where I took the opportunity to study and travel throughout Europe. I’m pleased to once again be a part of the CollegeFashionista team for spring 2015. This year I want to share all that I’ve seen and learned about style. From statement jackets to everyday durable boots, I’m excited to explore a new side of my style—no doubt featuring drop-waist joggers and some hoop earrings.
You’d assume that while traveling you would go on insane shopping sprees in fashion capitals such as Paris. But sadly, oh so sadly, this fantasy is only a dream reached by stars like my girl Beyoncé (or Queen B as I like to call her, because we’re friends like that). I was inspired by new and old trends by observation rather than shopping. Being the ultimate fan of people watching, I made a boatload of mental notes on new things to try and look for in my own personal wardrobe as well as in others.
I hope you’ll join me the next couple of months as I capture some interesting and exciting style while living and working in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. I’ll be covering all types of categories this semester from AROUND TOWN to ALL IN THE DETAILS. I’ll even be featuring some of my own personal style with STYLE GURU STYLE. It’s going to be a jam-packed couple of months, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. Let’s get inspired! See you out there!
