Hello beautiful people! My name is Nicole Skokna and I am thrilled to be joining the CollegeFashionista team this semester. Growing up in the bright lights of Chicago has definitely made an impact on my huge love for fashion. Since, I spent most of my weekends wandering downtown with my best friend, and walking into any and every store.
The first thing you should know about me is that I love black. During the winter, black is my absolute essential. But when summer comes around, I am quite the opposite because I love to wear fun colors.
I am an aspiring model and hope to become the next Candice Swanepoel. Since I have been working in the model industry, I have learned the ins and outs of the business, the different trends that are in, and how to style for different occasions. My mother was a fashion designer and artist which has gifted me with a creative mind. It’s in my blood to think with a creative mind and I hope one day it will lead me to success.
Leggings are my go-to pants when winter comes around. I am beyond obsessed with Victoria Secret’s high-waisted leggings because they are so comfy and warm. I am super into these white sneakers from Steve Madden. In fact, I have them in three colors. I think pairing the perfect sneakers with this look make the outfit look complete. Bomber jackets are a huge trend right now, but they are also easy jackets to wear. I am mostly seen wearing this black bomber or my green one. The outfit may come off as laid back, however it is fashion-forward.
Accessories are great for tying the outfit together. I am never caught dead without my rose gold watch. I also am a huge fan of chokers because they are a great way of keeping the outfit simple, but also give your outfit some edge.
