What’s up Fashionistas/os! My name is Nicole Zawacki and this is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.
My first semester went great, I learned so much and I cannot wait to get started with my second semester as a part of this incredible community.
A bit about me is that I am currently in my last year at the University of Washington in Seattle. I am majoring in communications with a focus on social and cultural interaction and I am double minoring in gender, women’s and sexuality studies as well as diversity. Apart from CollegeFashionista I am also the intern for Seattle’s most successful personal shopping and styling company and I absolutely love what I do.
After living here in Seattle for the past few years I have come to the conclusion that Seattle is definitely one of the greatest cities in the entire world.
Seattle has given me the freedom to try so many new things like food, museums, and of course fashion trends.
Being in Seattle I never feel homesick because it reminds me of growing up so close to Portland, Oregon. Seattle has a lot of the same unique vibes that Portland is known for and I would say that living in these places has turned me into a Pacific Northwest girl for life.
Living in such eclectic cities has certainly influenced my personal style as well as opened my mind up to taking a fashion risk from time to time.
Usually you can find me wearing at least one piece of denim at all times whether it is dressed up or down. I also love adding traditional tomboy elements to my look like a classic button down shirt. To top off my outfits I try to incorporate one of my current favorite trends to elevate the overall look. My latest obsession is statement booties such as the jacquard booties I am wearing here.
Over this next semester, I want to provide you all with bits of good advice and point out a great trend when I see it! I hope you are ready to take on the new year, let’s tackle 2017 together.
