It is that time of year again! The beginning of a semester means new trends to be discovered!
My name is Nicolette Accardi and I am excited to be back for another semester. Last fall, I spotted some of Monmouth University’s most fashionable students, but now its Rutgers University’s turn! I just transferred to Rutgers University- New Brunswick and will be an incoming sophomore.
You can easily spot me on the streets of Hub City with my Sperry Top-Siders and burgundy lipstick on; I know, quite the combination.
In my spare time, I enjoy hunting down underground deep house music that nobody has ever heard of and online shopping for clothes that I know I will never be able to afford. Don’t worry, I have other hobbies that are actually productive. I am a contributing writer for USA TODAY College and plan to write for my university’s publication The Daily Targum as soon as school starts.
As for career aspirations, I hope to be a fashion/lifestyle journalist for a publication in the Big Apple (Vogue, please hire me). It is my goal to get invited to New York Fashion Week and I intend to make that happen. I had the privilege to volunteer at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York and it was an unforgettable experience.
While I am working my way up I am going to do it as fashionably as possible. Today I am wearing a green H&M jacket, green shorts from Forever 21, a burgundy T-shirt from Urban Outfitters, Ray-Bans and, of course, Sperry Top-Siders. Also, never forget to add a classic gold watch!
It is just the beginning and I can’t wait to scout out the Fashionistas and Fashionistos of Rutgers University!
