Hello and welcome! I’m so excited to be a Style Guru for the summer. My name is Nina Church and I am a sophomore at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I am majoring in art and architecture history and minoring in fashion design. I find fashion to be very interesting because I consider it a wearable art. I am also very interested in travel and I love to see what the styles are like across the globe—And to vintage shop in foreign countries too.
I have been obsessed with fashion for as long as I can remember. When I was about six I created a binder full of loose-leaf paper that I could use for fashion sketches—I was infatuated with the idea of becoming a fashion designer. Even though I no longer want to be a designer, my interest in fashion has never dulled. I am constantly skimming fashion magazines and blogs for new ideas and inspiration.
I would describe my personal style as simplistic yet trendy. I am very inspired with the Parisian sense of style. I often wear simple pieces of clothing with trendy accessories to spice up an outfit. My weaknesses are necklaces and shoes, so I usually depend on them to finish a look. I like shopping at Bloomingdale’s and Revolve because of the variety of styles. If I had to choose a style icon, it would definitely be Kendall Jenner because of her experimentation but, use of basic pieces to create a fantastic outcome.
I am very excited for what this summer is going to bring and I know it’s going to be RAD.
