Hi, everyone! My name is Nina Folchi, and I could not be more excited to be a Style Guru for this upcoming spring semester. I am a sophomore at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I am majoring in Strategic Communications and am double minoring in Fashion Design (of course) and Supply Chain Management.
I’ve loved fashion ever since I was a little girl. When my mom would go out of town on business, I would insist that my dad let me pick out my own outfits for preschool. You could find me on the playground with one of my nicest holiday dresses paired with my light up Hello Kitty sneakers. Luckily, my fashion sense has developed slightly since then. In high school, my older sister recommended I apply to be a fashion guru in college. So, here I am!
I would describe my personal style as very diverse. I love anything from girly to grunge. All throughout grade school and high school I had to wear a school uniform everyday, so I’ve always tried to make my look somewhat unique, whether it was through the shoes I wore or the jewelry I accessorized with.
Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies, and I’m seriously thinking about petitioning for it to become an Olympic sport. I’m not exactly the athletic type, but I’m almost positive that I’d win gold. Right now, my favorite stores are Forever 21, Free People, Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. When I’m not posting for CollegeFashionista, you can most likely find me in one of them.
I can’t wait to see what this semester has in store alongside all you Fashionistas. Let’s make it RAD.
