Saying goodbye to 2016 means saying hello to another semester with CollegeFashionista! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Nina Folchi and I’m so excited to say that this will be my third semester as a Style Guru. I am currently in my third year at the greatest school ever, Miami University, where I’m majoring in strategic communications with a double minor in supply chain management and fashion design.
Despite the 2016 memes talking about how bad this year was, it’s a little bittersweet watching it come to a close. Although I didn’t have the best of luck this year (I dealt with a flat tire, I chipped my tooth, and I received my lowest grade in knitting) there were definitely some awesome adventures that got me through, like my trip to Europe and moving into a house at school for the first time with my four crazy roommates.
Now that 2016 is coming to a close, it’s time to look forward on the next year. If any of you are like me, I’m sure you’re scrambling to come up with a resolution for 2017. As far as New Year’s resolutions go, I should probably work on taking control of my online shopping addiction. But, when a dress as sparkly as this one from Urban Outfitters comes in the mail, it’s so hard to resist.
When I saw this sequin dress, it was love at first sight. And when finding the perfect shoes to pair it with, these metallic booties stood out the most.
New Years Eve is the one night where you can overload on the sparkles, sequins, and glitter. The night is special, so your outfit should match the occasion! And I’m convinced sequins make the world a better place.
So with that being said, I hope you all sparkled on New Year’s Eve, and for the rest of this rad semester. I can’t wait to ring in 2017 with CollegeFashionista!
