Hi there all returning and new Fashionistas/os! My name is Nina Kate and I am going into my final semester at the University of Rhode Island. I will be graduating this coming May with a dual degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design as well as Music Performance. It has been such a privilege to be able to study my two passions these past four years. My dream is to become a buyer for a fashion company after I graduate.
It seems like just yesterday I was a newbie here at CollegeFashionista, but I can’t believe I have already been apart of this amazing community for three semesters! From getting to meet so many students around campus to having the opportunities of being apart of CollegeFashionista collaborations, like the one with Seventeen magazine this past summer, I would have to say my time as a Style Guru has been a highlight of my college career.
Along with getting to share trends and happenings around campus each week, I love being able to share my own fashion taste as well. Currently I have been loving a lot of textures in my outfits, like this fluffy textured pink sweater with this white top that has this floral design in the texture. I paired it with these awesome Madewell skinny jeans and some brown ankle boots. Speaking accessories-wise, I always love to over-accessorize. For this look, I stacked on some fun beaded bracelets, added couple dainty rings and completed the look with a classic statement necklace.
As my fourth semester at CollegeFashionista begins, I cannot wait to continue to share some style advice, campus trends as well as insight on the must shop at boutiques in the area. Stay tuned for another rad semester!
