If you are ever at a time in your life where you need to describe Norah Murphy with three words and are at a loss on what to say, I’m here to help: denim, black and white. That’s all you’ll need to perfectly describe me and my style. You could also go with quirky, fun and upbeat. I’m someone who loves to have fun and find the humor that life provides for us everyday.
As a junior studying fashion communication at Parsons the New School of Design in New York City, I’ve really been able to tap into personal style is and hone in on the colors and silhouettes that work best for me. I wear almost always denim, black, white and nothing else besides the occasional gray or beige. I even named my blog denimnwhite.com in honor of my tricolor wardrobe!
Along with blogging, I love documenting all of life’s adventures with my friends, family and boyfriend through my YouTube channel. For someone as sentimental as me, it’s the greatest way to memorialize all of my favorite days and have the ability to look back on them forever. Plus, I’m really into video editing.
To add onto school, a blog and a YouTube channel, I also am interning at none other than CollegeFashionista this fall for their marketing department. It was a dream come true when I got hired, since I’ve been a Style Guru for three semesters now and working among such knowledgeable and inspiring women is amazing. The success of CollegeFashionista stems from so much hard work and dedication which I respect more than anything and can’t wait to surround myself with this fall.
Aside from interning at CollegeFashionista, I’ve also interned at Birchbox for social media and The Newsette for basically everything. I’m a pretty busy bee but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Like I said, hard work and dedication pay off.
I’m so extremely excited to begin my third semester here at CollegeFashionista and can’t wait to share outfits that inspire me throughout the semester. For this first post, I decided to really showcase my personal style with a pair of baby blue joggers, a simple off-the-shoulder black top, these amazing loafers which I find to be the best transition season shoe and my favorite sunglasses. To add a little something extra, I included skinny scarf that I turned into a thick choker. I love adding something unique to an outfit that can be so basic.
I look forward to showing the rest of my favorites looks this semester with you all and can’t wait to read more of what my fellow Style Gurus share as well.
