Hello, hello! Welcome to my fashion world where we will set new trends, create the most fabulous of outfits and, most importantly, discover how youexpress yourself through creative wardrobe assembly. My name is Odessa Magafas and I am a Public Relations/Advertising student at Loyola University Chicago. I am so excited to help you through all and any fashion dilemmas.
Before we get into the deep stuff, let’s start with a few “get to know me” facts. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, I have a great appreciation for puns and quality music (I thank my Dad for that), my mother means the world to me and my sister, Ariana, is my go-to-girl! I have a pup named Keko; she is an adorable Lhasa Chon. I enjoy experiencing new foods, traveling, watching the latest Oscar nominated movie and offering my personal critique and being quirky and laughing until it hurts! My favorite destination for vacation is Rhodes, Greece (imagine a perfect island with clear water, bright skies and plenty of shopping and delicious food).
Now that you know a little bit about me, I look forward to discovering and setting new trends with you this summer! Fashion has always been an interest and passion of mine and I am eager to spread and share my style secrets. My love for anything fashion started when I could identify the difference between a feminine and flirty look versus a grunge and hipster look. Every month I would run to the mailbox and hope that I would see a Teen Vogue magazine waiting for me to read and eventually cut out all my favorite styles for the season. After many magazine subscriptions and notebooks filled with inspirational outfits to try and replicate runway shows, my style consists of incorporating a variety of looks and accessories.
Although the bohemian style (complete with flowy dresses, floral patterns, and complimentary jewelry) makes my top five favorite looks, I try to keep an open attitude to adopting different trends. I do believe that accessories can either make or break an outfit; it is too easy to forget to add that one accessory, whether it is a floppy hat or a chunky statement necklace, that pulls together the outfit and completes the desired style. Especially for summertime styles, I usually will pair a loose fitting dress with wedges. Since we all are very busy college students, I ideally like to present stylish outfits that can be put together in 10 minutes tops; time is priceless! Therefore, one of my goals is to present different styles that could instantly amp up your trademark look with a few key additions.
