Hello! I am so excited to be back on the CollegeFashionista team this semester. I attend Loyola University Chicago and absolutely love my advertising, public relations and marketing studies. Although Chicago has a special place in my heart, I traveled to Rome last semester, which was full of scenic sidewalks, cute cafes and, of course, vibrant culture. This semester I will live and learn in Washington D.C. and I am super excited to explore another city.
Since I will be living at the nation’s capital, be prepared for some styles that are professional, yet trendy. Fall is my favorite season, which means I will be on the lookout for both Fashionistas and Fashionistos who turn the streets into a runway. Even dressing in professional attire leaves room for personal expression and I fervently believe in always showcasing your style. It is possible to still look appropriate for the office without sacrificing your external persona.
My summer consisted of a variety of looks from my closet from crop tops to sundresses, but I have adopted many styles over the years. I would say my go-to look leans more towards boho elegance. I am a big believer in looking cute, yet still being comfortable! It is always fun to try changing up your outfits every now and then and creating new combinations with what you have on your hangers. This month, I decided to pair a light lace blouse with a mini black skirt for a classic look that I could wear both during the day and out to dinner. Adding a pop of pink makes for a memorable accent piece and completes my classic style. Try out a new look this month and see how many compliments you get out and about. I am looking forward to a stylish semester!
