I’m excited to say that this is my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I started interning this past summer with the intent on staying busy and working towards my career goals, despite not being in the city. However, I’ve moved into my cozy Brooklyn apartment and decided to continue as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. Interning with CollegeFashionista has served as a fun way to meet with friends, explore new places and help me with my blogging abilities.
While writing about other Fashionistas’ outfits, I have also been more thoughtful about my own. I’ve tried to express myself through my outfits more consciously. I have also noticed how my outfits vary from day-to-day. In my outfit, I wanted to stay comfortable as I ran errands around the city. I kept the details minimal by sticking with my trusty pair of Ray-Ban clubmasters. I also opted for a Madewell arrow bracelet and a simple ring which keeps everything gold. My V-neck bodycon dress is a staple in my closet. It serves as the perfect canvas to either dress up or down, and can be completely altered with just a few accessories. Mine is cotton, which makes it more practical for wearing during the day, as people often associate body con dresses with going out.
Then, I keep it sporty with a pair of slip-on Vans. As you can tell they’re pretty beat up from the city streets, but they’re my go-to for days that involve lots of walking. I finish the look with a men’s denim chambray shirt tied around my waist. It breaks up the outfit and adds a little something extra, while also serving as something to keep me warm as the night falls.
I look forward to sharing more trends and outfits with you this fall in hopes of inspiring you to wear whatever you feel like wearing, too. Here’s to a #RAD semester!
